GI Film Festival, May 14-18, 2008

Monday May 12, 2008

The GI Film Festival (GIFF) screens films that honor the heroic stories of the American Armed Forces. In addition to some wonderful films about our men and women in service there are opportunities to participate in panel discussions with soldiers, filmmakers, authors and journalists. This year's highlights include screenings of Gods and Generals and Brothers at War. There will also be a panel discussion led by Hollywood's Gary Sinise as Medal of Honor recipients and war heroes recount their stories and experiences. Screenings take place at the Carnegie Institution of Washington, 1530 P Street NW (202-387-6400). This is a wonderful way to get ready for Memorial Day and honor and remember those men and women who have kept and continue to keep America safe. For more information regarding tickets and times visit the GIFF website.
