Ben's Chili Bowl in DC

Ben's Chili Bowl (1213 U St, NW, 202-667-0909) is a Washington, DC landmark with menu that will please the whole family. Particularly when the weather turns cold, Ben's Chili Bowl is a great place to have lunch or for the AM crowd, breakfast. With the feel of an diner from the 1950's, Ben's Chili has great vegetarian chili as well as chili half smokes, chili fries, milkshakes and cakes and for breakfast you can't go wrong with a plate of hot cakes and fried apples. Once the site of a silent movie movie theater, the building has some fun architectural aspects to gaze upon and chat about while feasting on your chili dog of choice.
