Obama's Inaugural Committee to Disappoint Young Kids

Wednesday January 14, 2009

President-elect Obama's Inaugural Committee is not making the Kids Inaugural Concert accessible to the general public. So much for an inclusive inauguration that Obama mentioned in his public remarks. If there is one event where tickets should be made available to the general public, it is one involving kids and their favorite entertainers. Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato will be playing the Verizon Center on Monday evening, but while Malia and Sasha will be viewing it live, the closest your kids will get to it will be by watching it on television. The show will air on the Disney Channel (8:00 - 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, Monday, January 19).
