- Fun Dog Show at Market Square: This is one of my favorite yearly events, with prizes awarded for Dog With the Longest Ears, Dog and Owner Look Alikes, Most Mysterious Canine Heritage and much more. At the conclusion of the show, dogs and their owners are invited to lead the parade along King Street. More
- St. Patrick's Day Parade: 12:30 p.m. until about 3:00 p.m. The parade route begins at King and West Streets and proceeds east on King Street to North Fairfax. More

Touted as "the biggest St. Patty's Festival in the history of the DC area," this day-long indoor/outdoor festival will include a variety of music, giveaways, prizes, food and beverages and family fun. Green is the color of the day at this fun-filled celebration of all things Irish, produced by the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee of Washington, D.C.
