President Obama will get sworn into his second term on January 21, 2013. Several state societies based in Washington are already planning their galas and balls and even selling tickets. Here are all the fun details on how to celebrate Inauguration weekend 2013.
The Texas State Society of Washington, D.C., Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball will feature Texas entertainment, food and drinks from Texas restaurants, a Texas fair, and lots of cowboy hats, and cowboy boots.

Hawai’i State Society Inaugural Ball

The Illinois State Society Inaugural Gala will include open bars, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and buffet stations, as well as continuous live music and dancing from. And since Illinois is President Obama’s home state, there’s a good chance he’ll make an appearance.

Kentucky Society of Washington Bluegrass Ball

The Maryland State Society will hold its Presidential Inaugural Celebration in conjunction with the New York and Delaware State Societies. It will include continuous appetizers, a souvenir photograph, a tasting room, a game room, a silent auction, open bar, and music and dancing, as well as carving stations, tapas areas, sweets and beverages, and roaming patisserie.
