The National Zoo in Washington, DCs Boo at the Zoo is a big Halloween party and a safe event for your young Jedi Knights, Disney Princesses, Wizarding Potter Wanna-bes and every youngster who wants to dress-up and trick-or-treat in a kid-friendly environment. This year marks the eleventh annual Boo at the Zoo and will offer kids and their parents four evenings to celebrate Halloween with the zoos animal residents. From October 23-25, 2009 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. families can take part in wildest trick-or-treat in the District.
Children age two to twelve will enjoy Halloween candy, snack foods and special treats at more than 40 treat stations, plus there will be animal encounters and talks with the keepers. Tickets are $25. All adults and children two and older must have a ticket. Join Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) and tickets are $15.
This is a hot ticket for families and sells out every year, so get your tickets early online; at Ticketmaster outlets or by phone, (202) 397-7328.
One parking pass will be provided for every five tickets until parking passes run out. Parking can be tough by the zoo so if you dont get a parking pass, take the metro which is easy, convenient and safe.
