The Thirteenth Annual F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. Washington, DC and its surrounding metro area has always been a haven for would-be-authors. American writers like Nathanial Hawthorne, Walt Whitman, Louisa May Alcott, and Langston Hughes have all sought inspiration for their musings in Washington, DC.
The event features workshops, one-on-one consulting with writers and professionals, and discussions with authors like Susan Cheever, Laura Lippman And George Pelecanos. This year's keynote speaker is acclaimed novelist and writer, Elmore Leonard whose extensive work includes: Get Shorty, Out of Sight, 3:10 to Yuma, The Bounty Hunters, and Bandits among others.
