The 2008 presidential election is just weeks away, but it is never too soon to start planning for January’s Inauguration in Washington, DC. DC’s Ritz Carlton has already put together a luxury package called the Red, White, Blue and Green that is both decadent and eco-friendly.
To get the party started, guests receive a set of new sustainable luggage designed by Gucci that they can fill with their gowns, tuxedos and gems for when they take a first class round trip plane ride to Washington, D.C.
From the airport guests will be met and driven by a personal driver who will chauffeur them via a state of the art hybrid SUV to the eco-friendly luxurious Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, for a four-night stay in the Presidential Suite.
Other highlights include:
- Attending the Inaugural parade, and one of the official Inaugural balls;
- A private dinner at the Chimney Stack dining room featuring an all organic menu and organic wine pairing;
- And then last but certainly not least, once the last dance has been danced and the last balloon drop, dropped, guests will leave chilly Washington, DC and head to the Grand Cayman where they will experience a four night stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, including admission to eco-adventure activities offered by the Ambassadors of the Environment Program in partnership with Jean-Michel Cousteau.
The price tag: $99,000 USD and it is available at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, Washington, D.C from January 17, 2009 through January 21, 2009, and The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, from January 21, 2009 through January 25, 2009.
Tickets to the swearing-in can be requested from members of Congress, but unless you’ve made a significant donation to the campaign or you’re a Washington, DC insider, don’t count on it.
