You don’t need to fly to Paris for romance, but instead you can find it right in the heart of our nation’s capital. DC has many venues where you can romance your significant other. These are a few of my favorites.

This romantic experience includes one night accommodation in a Deluxe room of this luxury hotel; a Kama Sutra game; a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne; sensual chocolate fondu with assorted fruits and cakes and valet parking. The package is available February 8, 2008 through February 17, 2008 and will run you $459 a night.
Willard InterContinental (1401 Pennsylvania Ave., NW; 202-628-9100; washington.intercontinental.com). For the lover who has cash to impress, consider the Capital Night of Romance package. First you get to choose between the Presidential Suite ($3,400) or the Jenny Lind Suite ($2,300). In addition to a night’s accommodation for two, love birds will be treated to breakfast in bed, chocolate dipped berries, champagne, romantic bath amenities, poetry book and romance CD, and a return visit gift certificate within one year for one-night in a deluxe accommodation.
