Caroling in the seasonally decorated West Building Rotunda is a favorite at the Gallery. Guest choirs lead afternoon sing-along caroling. Singers and listeners of all ages are welcome. Free Event.
December 20-22, 2008. The Washington Chorus: Music for Christmas at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. Tickets are $15.00 - $60.00. The annual Music for Christmas concerts prove to be one of Washington's most beloved events. The massed choruses with brass, organ, and all manner of percussion instruments present a celebration of classic Christmas favorites, along with exciting new arrangements and audience sing-alongs. Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Colonial English Hand Bell Ringing. Ten ringers play a full five-octave set of nearly 80 handbells from the world-famous White Chapel Foundry in England. Performance includes childrens classics such as Frosty the Snowman and Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, an audience sing-along with holiday favorites, and unique visual experiences with two original works.
