The DC Drag Queen Race which got its start at Dupont Circle’s JRs Bar & Grill is a favorite Halloween event for the Washington, DC community. Whether you are a man and decide to dress-up in your gold lame gown, favorite boa and Jimmy Choos and race (women cannot participate) or you save your feet and join the thousands of spectators to watch the divas in drag strut their stuff as they race down 17th Street, the DC Drag Queen Race is one fun event. The party lasts for several hours, but if you want a good spot to see the race and enjoy the beauties in their high heels parade up and down the race course, go early.

Location: 17th Street, between P and S Streets NW

Race Time: 9 p.m. but get there early - 6 p.m. if possible - if you want a good viewing spot.
