The Most Haunted Houses in Washington DC is one of Washington Walks most popular walking tours during the Halloween season. Your guide will take you to the most haunted sights in the city—all concentrated around the seven acres surrounding Lafayette Park.

Discover the home of navy hero Stephen Decatur, hear about man of letters Henry Adams and his troubled wife Clover, and relive the night of April 14, 1865 when the grim reaper stalked more than Abraham Lincoln. You'll end this walk at the house considered the most haunted home in the city: The Octagon. This walk does not include interior tours of the buildings.

When: This walk is offered Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., April 1 - October 31, 2009. It will also be offered on Thursday and Saturday evenings beginning May 28, 2009. In addition, this walk will be offered on Monday, October 26, 2009.

Cost: $10 per person (kids 3 and younger free). No reservations necessary. Groups of 25 or more should notify us in advance. Tickets can be purchased online.
