National Building Museum Ghost Tours are a very different way to experience the museum. This lantern-light led tour is guided by the ghost of Mary Surratt, who was convicted for conspiracy in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. Visitors will hear about the irritable rider on horseback and the footless figure—who they; why they can’t find rest and why they’ve taken up residence at the National Building Museum. Learn why there are there mysterious faces swirling in the 75 foot Corinthian columns and much more on this behind the scenes tour.
2009 tours are featured on October 16, 18, 26 and November 8, 15, 20 & 21 beginning at 8p.m. and concluding at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12 for members, $20 for nonmembers and can be purchased online.
