The National Portrait Gallery is celebrating the life and work of Katharine Hepburn in their One Life’s exhibit.

Hepburn’s glorious career on the big screen, which spans more than 50 years, was one which paved the way for women in every industry. Her beauty tempered by her intelligence and no-nonsense attitude provided her gender with a new sense of empowerment.

The National Portrait Gallery has pulled together this wonderful exhibit of Hepburn’s life through images from her days in Hollywood and a video kiosk that plays clips from some of her more memorable performances. Visitors will also get to gaze on Ms. Hepburn’s four Oscars for best actress.
