An Invitation to the Ball: Marjorie Post's Fancy Dress Costumes of the 1920s is the latest exhibit at Hillwood Museum & Gardens. The exhibit runs from March 14, 2009 through July 12, 2009 and visitors can view four elaborate costumes, created for Marjorie Merriweather Post (then Mrs. E.F. Hutton) for the legendary costume balls of the 1920s.

Fashionistas will not want to miss this special glimpse into the high fashion that once dominated the social scene. This is the first time that Hillwood has placed the focus on Post's personal belongings. The exhibit also includes archival and reproduction images and documents, including newspaper clippings, invitations, and correspondence and offers a glimpse into the decadence and opulence of the roaring twenties.
