March rolls into DC like a lion and out like a lamb—well usually. The weather can be sunny skies one minute; rain the next. Or the temperature can be moderate and then all of the sudden take a dip, making it quite chilly. In early March, Washington, DC is less crowded, but towards the end of the month when the famous cherry blossoms start blooming, the crowds get heavy as people from all over the world flock to our nation’s capital for this harbinger of spring.
