The Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC is a presidential memorial dedicated to the third president of the United States. It is modeled after the Pantheon in Rome, Italy; perched beside the Tidal Basin in West Potomac Park; surrounded by the famous Cherry Blossoms; and boasts a panoramic view of Washington, DC. The bronze statue of Jefferson which stands proudly in the center of the colonnaded structure is 19-feet tall and looks out towards the White House. The Jefferson Memorial has a museum located in the lower lobby where you will also find a bookstore and restrooms.
