Restaurant Week in Washington, DC is a great time to eat at the many wonderful restaurants in the District for a fraction of the normal costs. This is a bi-annual event that occurs every January and August.

This January 2008, DC Restaurant Week is January 14-20. For lunch and dinner, participating restaurants will offer a three-course fixed-price special. The lunch menu will be offered at $20.08 and the dinner meal will be served for $30.08.

You can check-out participating restaurants and make a reservation at www.OpenTable.com--and don’t forget to call and confirm the day of because these restaurants are generally always busy and the week’s special offer makes dining out even more popular for the local business community.

Some restaurants will offer a special menu for this eating extravaganza while others will offer their full menu. If there is a specific dish you’re hankering for, it is best to call ahead and find it if it is indeed on the week’s menu.
