If you are looking for a good place to grab a burger, Five Guys is the place for you. Five Guys is a growing burger chain with a big presence in the DC metro area. Their hand packed burgers are made when you order them and the list of condiments will satiate the most eccentric burger connoisseur. The little bacon cheeseburger is always a crowd pleaser and the fries that are made fresh from the potato of the day—usually from Idaho or Maine—are some of the tastiest to be had. But their menu has something for everyone.

And if you are a vegetarian, the cook will happily make you a sandwich sans the burger but with all the yummy condiments. I love to order a bun piled high with their sautéed mushrooms with melted cheese, jalapenos, fried onions, green pepper, tomato, lettuce, pickles, mayo and ketchup.

While you are waiting for your burgers, kick back and chow down on some of the free peanuts. This kid friendly restaurant will make you feel like a kid again too. Five Guys is an inexpensive place to eat, and has been featured in the Washingtonian Magazine best “Cheap Eats”.

Reservations are not accepted at Five Guys and bring cash because they don’t take plastic.

If you like Five Guys, you would really like Z Burger. It has better food and service. The onion rings are amazing too.
