Dog-Friendly Happy Hours in Washington, DC

If spending happy hour with man's best friend sounds like fun, then you won't want to miss the following happy hours that welcome both puppies and humans.

  • Doggie Happy Hour at Cantina Marina. 600 Water Street SW, Washington, D.C. 20024. 202-554-8396. On Monday evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cantina Marina hosts a happy hour that is dog friendly for your pup and fun for people too. Corn dogs ($2) and margaritas ($7) are on tap for humans and water bowls are a plenty for your furry best friend.

    Hotel Monaco Alexandria. 480 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. From April through October, Hotel Monaco Alexandria hosts a Doggie Happy Hour every Tuesday and Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The dogs hold court (in the courtyard, no less) with complimentary doggie treats and fresh water. Refreshments are available from Jackson 20 for human guests. Dogs must be monitored; on a leash; and are not allowed inside the bar area.

  • Union Pub. 201 Mass Ave, NE, Washington, DC. Union Pub on Capitol Hill celebrates the canine with its Pooches on the Patio. This happy hour takes place spring to summer on Saturdays beginning at 12 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m. Your pooch can enjoy fresh water and doggy treats. Humans can feast on mini corn dog buckets ($5), Dog Tail Wines ($5) and Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale ($5).
