- First Night Alexandria in Northern Virginia is a family-focused, alcohol-free New Year's Eve celebration. With a firework extravaganza on the front lawn of the George Washington Masonic Temple and close to 200 performances throughout the evening, this is a great event for DC visitors. Tickets are on sale and if you buy them online before Christmas it will cost you $12. After Christmas, the price goes up. - Washington, DC Countdown at Fur Night Club. Four unique places to ring in the New Yearthe mink room is devoted to music from the 1980s; the main floor will feature hip hop and the top 40; top 40 and eighties in the Martini Lounge; and Latin in the Mafia room. - Hilton Washington: Professionals in the City New Year's Eve Gala. Passport to the World is the theme of this gala.
