Still trying to figure out what to do for New Years Eve while visiting Washington, DC? Looking for a way to celebrate that wont break the bank? Washington, DC has many hot spots that will be ringing in 2009 that are inexpensive, but just as fun.
BreadSoda (2233 Wisconsin Ave, NW; 202-333-7445) will be celebrating New Years Eve with no cover charge and free darts, shuffleboard, bowling and Wii. Doors open at 8 p.m. and there will be a champagne toast at midnight and DJ Fatty will be spinning the tunes.
Café Saint Ex (1847 14th St, NW; 202-365-7839) is a popular restaurant/bar in DCs U Street corridor. Its Gate 54 Lounge is a hot spot and will be raging New Years Eve. Go for dinner and stay for the music which starts at 10 p.m.
Mie N Yu (3125 M St, NW; 202-333-6122) boasts an exotic Mediterranean atmosphere that celebrates the Silk Road. Starting at 10 p.m. Mie N Yu will host a 2009 count down celebration. Groove to 80s & 90s house beats by resident deejay DJ Dub. Sip champagne cocktails, Mie N Yu signature martinis and of course the all important midnight champagne toast. Cover is $10.
